After this steps, you should have a very short list of the top brokers in the neighbourhood where you want to buy a property. Call one of from the list them and talk with that agent. Now finally some tips!

1)Choose an agent who often handles houses in your price range. Every price range requires different attitude.

2)Choose an agent who pays attention to what you want and who takes the time to explain things which are not clear to you. You are paying for the realtor’s time, so make him earn the money by asking the problematic questions.

3)Be sure he or she has the right time schedule for you! Sundays, afternoons, evenings - this may be what you need, but the realtor doesn’t have.

4)Services of an agent should include more subparts - finding a real estate lawyer for example. Ask for the additional services!

5)Interview the possible broker. Or better several of them - just like you are an employer, going to hire new staff.

6)Check references! You may check the testimonial section of his page, or ask clients personally.

7)As a home seller, ask for realtor’s marketing plan. Simple MLS listing is not nearly enough. actual trends require much more.
